While I display the number of channels as '6', I'm actually usingthe 8-ch protocol (deviation uses either 4, 8, or 12ch protocols). When I decided to do that, I didn't know that Walkera changed the mapping based on how many channels were available.
So I should actually send the number of channels chosen rather than snapping to the nearest 4. It would prevent a lot of confusion I guess.
I switched to 8 CH, and used CH 7 for the gyro, and now it works.

My next project is to use the 2801 protocol on a 2702 RX/Gyro.
The swash mixing is done in the TX on this one as opposed to the 2618, (the one I just got working), which does the mixing internally.
Do you see any problems I might have getting the 2702 to work?
