I'm getting ready to start planking with 2mm balsa, but I want to spray the whole thing so far to waterproof the framework, then I will sand and true up all the framing to ensure a smooth job with the sub planking, revealing bare wood for all the glueing surfaces. This got me started thinking about how to seal the inside of the balsa planking in inaccessible areas. Anyone have any tips about this? I think if the balsa isn't sealed, the back of the mahogany planking will be open to water from inside the boat. Does that make sense?
