I myself am not too knowledgeable on this whole subject but I would guess that using a sander/polisher (and I understand you were planning on just maybe using it to only polish, never the less) being a pneumatic one, it would go way too fast. Orbiter polishers go relatively slow, and it's too easy to start creating low spots. MAYBE one or two quick passes, but still it would probably be best to just do it by hand and with the all foam pads to contour the airfoil well. Besides if you do it on your lap with a big towel over you while watching TV you'll be done before you know it.
