Wing Center modification......
Hey, Since I hope to make this a removable-wing plane, I'm building up the center section with spars so the rubber band(s) have something to rest on and so the wing has something to take that stress.
Wood planes you build yourself are the bestest!

Adding central compression resistance for the added top turbulator/compression load spars AND providing something for the wing to take the strain of the hold-down-rubberband. The main spar center section has been "capped" since these photos were

Bamboo shiskkabob skewer for rubber-band-wing-hold-down.
same thing. Note rear trailing edge "stopper" to keep wing in the same place consistently to maintain CG/CL relationship. I do this with my RC gliders also.
More or less what's going on. The bamboo skewer will likely be shortened at some point.
