I wanted to create a nice looking and effective way to hinge a door on the side of a plane. I needed another door and using nylon hinges created all kinds of problems. I just thought there had to be a better way. This is my solution.

Supplies needed are a large paper clip, three sixteenth inch dowel, Thick CA Glue, Razor Saw, Xacto knife , Dremel hand drill, pliers and wirer cutters.
Find center and start a hole
Drill a hole down the center
Using a razor saw I cut three piece to create the hinge
Two small pieces and a larger piece
Notched the frame at an angle about 45 degree for the larger piece
CA Glued the larger piece
Cut a notch out so the door will move easy
I CA Glued the other two pieces to the door being aware to keep the dowels alined. They also are in a 45 degree notch.
Cut our the paper clip and bent a 45 on one end
Slide the wire into the three pieces and bend another 45 on the other end.
Door opens easy.
Removed the door and cut Lightening holes. Put the door back on. A little sanding to clean things up
