The manual is not totally useless. It just requires a bit of a lively imagination, and at times comparing with other manuals for similar planes...
On the central area of the display on the Tx there is a set of numbers which relates to the speed, or consumption, or whatever, of the motor (I don't care about what units, if any, they are in, I just look to see how they change).
If the motor is really off, they should read 0.00
Even when the throttle stick is at its lowest, the figures may read something above zero if the trim is not adjusted (just try clicking up the trim on the Tx when the stick is fully down). In that case, the motor will be turning.
