Assuming a 10mW TX does ~1000m...
Power(mW) ................................. Range (m)
10 ............ =300/SQRT(1/10) ........ 948.6832981
100 .......... =300/SQRT(1/100) ...... 3000
1000 ........ =300/SQRT(1/1000) ..... 9486.832981
10000 ...... =300/SQRT(1/10000) ... 30000
But then there are reflections, absorption, interference, etc, etc in the real world to deal with compared to the theoretical world so one might wish to leave a bit of a safety factor in there.
