I theorize that it has the best SIZED mag field for that series of motors where as the 2100 is prolly operating at 95% of what it can do in turning watts to RPM the 2300kv is around 80% of what it can do turning watts to RPMs with the CS 10 with a 2700 watt constant pack.
The 2300kv has enough head room on the mag field to take the extra half volt from a 65c pack also with a tap up in timing if the esc doesn't get hot...I haven't tested this yet but 4lbs with tapped up timing and high c Packs doesn't seem out of the question.
The nice thing about the 2100ikv motor is it's using almost 100% of it's capability at 3300mah 40c...that's squeezing every RPM to watt that can be had for that sized magnetic field. I bet if it could be put into airflow that it could handle a higher C pack because the volume of forced air could keep the winding laminates from melting but still not put out more RPMs....I like squeezing the motor safely cause I hate to think I am leaving some CFM of air on the bench per watt....

The 2300kv is the best of the L series budget motors....I just don't like odd cell packs....that's just me
