Another way to tell V2 from V1

should be easy to tell when you have it, check if the lens is blue or red
I believe quite a few V2 cameras were shipped before they were formally announced, and before they were shipping with the red lens (Lens B). Some may have the former blue lens (Lens A), which I personally prefer, because it has more realistic colors and less vignetting. YMMV.

I've attached two comparison pics showing two differences between the V1 and V2 circuit boards, which can be seen just by opening the case... no need to removed the circuit board to see what memory chip was installed.

If they have the same lenses and same firmware, there should be no difference between V1 and V2 videos. The TV video-out function does not impact the recorded video quality... it just shortens the recording time by about 10 minutes.
