Motor mount

I used the same foam for my new motor mount as Hammydude used in the second video above. I left the zip ties a little long in case I needed to adjust any of them, but I'll clip them off after another couple of flights What a difference!

I used 5 minute epoxy to mount the foam firewall, which adheres very tenaciously to the plane. The plane is much quieter, too. It wasn't all that loud at first, and now I'd say the sound has been cut about in half. I'll try to find out where to get this foam.

The wind picked up a little and I had time for two more flights to test the motor mount and get a feel for how long the battery will last. After a little fine tuning I think I'll be able to say my goals have been met. Now to see how well it holds up. So far, so good.

Next is to build a lightweight version for the indoor season.
