Yippee!

The maiden went very well (sorry, no video). Unfortunately I didn't use the foam firewall that Hammydude did. I accidentally grabbed the wrong piece of plywood when I made the firewall and it delaminated on the first landing. I made temporary repairs to continue the maiden and was 95% satisfied.

It did all the maneuvers I am capable of very nicely. (I'm hoping to expand those skills with this plane.) It rolls and loops beautifully. Rudder turns are fairly flat. The 5% I need to work on is power and balance - after installing a proper firewall. I'm going to play with props to see if I can get more vertical and more top end. It might be a bit nose heavy too, even though it balances at 25% of chord, but first comes the new firewall.

The breeze was quite light, but it didn't affect the plane at all. It felt like the weight was going to help meet my goal of stability in the wind. With the same power but a lighter airframe and battery I'll bet it would be a hoot.

I must say that the color scheme made it very visible to me on a gloomy day.
