is the plastic part that sits atop of the hollow tube. The rotor grips and flybar attach to it, and the red "hat" screws into the top of it. At it's bottom are "U" shaped guides that the lower connecting rods go through. Without the guides, the heli wobbles like crazy, presumably because the swashplate bearing is being pulled by the lower connecting rods and trying to rotate with the blades.
