Last time I looked Futaba exceeded the $1K mark and Spectrum was catching up to it. I think JR is either more expensive than Futaba or about the same. I can't afford that much.
For now the DX6i is just fine with me. Maybe a DX7i in the future unless someone wants to give
me their used 8 channel Futaba or JR.
Expensive doesn't always mean better... I fly with a Devo 8 and I have achieved 4.7km range with no glitches, and that is flying with 1.2Ghz video feed and no filters, try doing that with 2.4Ghz spectrum or futaba RX, especially spectrum.
