Assembling the engine / fuel tank / retract mount assembly. Here I used 30 min epoxy and lots of clamps.
Engine mount completed.
Joining the 2 piece balsa fuselage sides with wood glue.
I'm tracing all of the cut parts.
Laminating the plywood doubler.
F8 will be knotched where the stab fits.
I measured the distance from the front of the stab to the end of F8 for reference.
Transfered the measurement to the fuse sides.
Gluing F8 in place.
Using aluminum angle to keep the balsa stringers flush with the bottom of the fuse.
Gluing the engine mount assembly to the fuselage sides.
My grandsons PowerWheels battery for weight. F5 squared up.
The fuselage sides are joined at F3, F4 and F5. NBD1 glued in place. This is as far as I got last night.
