I built a Majestic several years ago. At that time, there was considerable patter about modifying the basic design. The most concrete ideas came from Prof. Mark Drela at MIT. I incorporated all of his suggested changes such as changes in dihedral angle, wing tips, use of carbon fiber, and lightening and lengthening the tail feathers. My Majestic came out about 8 ounces lighter than the original design. The plane flew beautifully and proved out the value of the modifications. Unfortunately, I ended up flying someone else's plane in a thermal. My Majestic flew away and crashed hard.

If anyone is interested, I may be able to dredge up Mark Drela's suggestions.
