Build Log
Piper PA8 skycycle

Piper built one in 1947 and it was burnt in a garage fire in 1948.Two replica have been built since and I am building it to near on 1/6 scale.
I found a peanut scale pencil drawn plan on line so enlarged it at work to 37 in w/s and using it for all the out lines on my build.
The construction is my usual of white , blue foam, depron, carbon fiber, and the odd bit of balsa and ply where needed and covered with news print. and paint.
Power is to be a turnigy 1050kv motor,18 amp ESC,four HTX 900 servos and a 1300 3s battery. All of this gear I have sitting in my draw.
Today I made some of the fuse templates and have the center part of the pod all cut ready to glue.
With my current builds done this way,I have had interest in the constuction so decided to do a complete log over the next few months of this wee plane.
