Thanks for the info, I really should not run this car, parts are hard t come by, and I don't have a proper track nearby anyway. Just thought it would be nice to use my one radio. I had to loosen the screws in the handle of the XL2P to shove a diamond shaped nimh battery that still doesn't fit right. The original AA holder broke and I can't repair or replace it. The green pack sticks out the bottom and it looks lousy, which is a shame because I like the retro radio with the retro car.

Install brushless and replace my Trinity Green Machine? Sacrilege!
