I'll be camping with my son so I'll have the usual munchies and drinks for my small cooler. I'd like to be able to cook something for folks but even a 2012 Explorer with a topper gets full quick with all those birds! Imputs welcome. Is it better to just lend a 20 spot and help cook at another camp?
Mike - The food vendor serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu that varies each day. Americus is only a few minutes away if you decide to pick up some groceries once you have your SUV unloaded. We usually get a few take out meals from town as well (KFC Double Downs with chocolate shakes are a healthy suggestion). I think you're on the right track focusing on drinks and snacks. The rest can be taken care of once you arrive.
I bought a "plug-in" cooler from Walmart a couple of years ago and it has been excellent. It was about $100 and came with adapters for car use and standard electrical outlet use. Something to consider if you have a power source.
Hope this helps!
