Ran the mono for the first time last weekend.
Quite fast with the 4082 1600kv motor & the T180 ESC.
Started with an M445 & a Prather S225 & the motor didn't even know they were there. Temps were only 34-36 C after 5 laps.
So on went the 447/3 blade. That added some good speed & the temps only hit 38-40 C after 5 laps.

Initially there were some handling problems though. Very flighty down the straights & could only hit the corners at about 2/3 speed as it had that horrible bow steering tendency & was skipping the back up out of the water.Settled the straight running down with the COG, strut & tab adjustments. But the cornering problem remained.

I figured it was because the tabs are so far out from the keel (I put them back on where they were when I bought the boat). So I'm going to put some split tabs on & move them in closer to the keel where I normally put them.

I've since read Scorps & Jarins threads on removing the ride pad & the subsequent improvement in handling. So I might need to think about that too as this hull has a huge pad on the bottom.

No video yet but here's a couple of pics at the lake.

Cheers.
Paul.
