Thanks lads,

the Schapel is one of my favorites too. I enjoyed a lot the design and construction. It's a very well balanced design, which spans over the complete range: fast, dynamic and slow. I have not measured the L/D, but it should be around 12 - 15, which is not bad for an AR of 7 and such a small model (2 m span).

@Stuart: I use a pusher now. I think the space is not large enough for an impeller fan and it was the easiest way to shift away from a turbine - a Lambert Kolibri with 25 N of thrust.

@Steve: I like the Swift, although I'm not really into winglets...

@Brian: Maybe we find an arrangement concerning the plans


p.s. Here's another photo of the whole Schapel family. Although the small ones share the planform, these are quiet different designs. The small one was made for speeeeddddd
