As I mention earlier my 500EFL Pro was slow on cyclic, and I've found the main cause. My understanding was that the roll and pitch limits were to stop binding, so I had lowered the limits to stop the pitch and aileron servo ball from hitting the side of the servo at full negative collective, down elevator and aileron.

But from what I see now this is not the right thing to do. Unlike the tail limits, the roll and pitch limits are just a limit on the cyclic roll and pitch, so when I limited the servo binding I'd reduced the roll and pitch to about 6 degrees.

So the setup procedure is, set your collective range, then at zero collective, set the amount of cyclic roll and pitch you want using the roll and pitch limits.

So there does not appear to be any way to stop these low cost gyros from binding on the cyclic at the stick corners (no cyclic ring). They need to add a total limit or cyclic ring to these gyros to avoid servo damage at stick corners.
