$5 fix for better high speed flight control
Hey guys, just want to throw my 2 cents in a cheap upgrade that takes all the flex out of the controls linkages to the ailerons and especially the elevator.
The new Parkzone F-27Q Striker linkages bolt on nicely to this F-18 and are waaaaaaaaay less flimsy. The tail linkages in this F-18 I found particularly alarming and probably prone to tail flutter under stress. (at my flying level I'm being somewhat gentle still)
Did a change-over and took some snap shots.
I bought a second set as I plan on changing out the servos to something better next.

Stock Aileron rod
Stock Elevator rod
Parkzone F-27Q (PKZ5622) rods
Aileron rod comparison
Stock elevotor rod flex (yikes!)
You will need to twist the elevator rod to the end of it's thread to fit this F-18
You will need to cut off some thread as a result to make fit over control horn
No flex anymore
Remember? Yikes. Well done.
New F27Q elevator rods installed.
Turn on Transmitter and install battery
Threads pretty slim at this point only for elevator so I elected to add crazy glue
Dab on the threads, dab on the carbon tube and pressed/glued back to the adjuster
Dab of CA at the front of the tube
let dry with battery and transmitter live. Don't touch the controls!
