This is good design. The foam is dissipating energy which would otherwise be absorbed by the battery. Foam is easy to fix, while damaged lipos have to be replaced and are dangerous.

I said all this in my earlier post that you clearly didn't bother to read. Anyway, your evaluation is wrong.
