Wintonbury Flying Club First Annual Swap Meet, Fun Fly, and Auction, Oct 2, 2011

After attending a swap meet and fly in at a local club in Simsbury, I thought it would be great to do something similiar and add an auction component to the fun. We have an excellent auction in Vernon around Feb, but who can wait that long?

This won't be anywhere near as fancy as the Vernon auction. We will do this in one day, 10/1. Sunday 10/2 will be our raindate. The fun starts at 8 with folks setting up tables and even flying (electric only until 9). If your item sells great, if not, we will start the auction at 12 sharp. Planes, kits, and engines will be up for auction to the highest bidder. If we have time we can enterain other RC related products. When the item sells, we'll faciliatate a meeting with the buyer and seller, then get out of the way. No pesky credit cards. Cash, checks, and handshakes are the order of the day.

If you don't have something to sell...bring a plane and take a flight or two. Hungry? Grab a hot dog or burger.

Suggested donation is $5.00 PER carpool and get more bang for your buck.
