Wow Rich! That's a lot of ingenuity. I had a chance to run one of the newer designed Neu rotors and pinions recently. It was kind of a crazy hot liner set up; small light weight motor spinning very high rpm. 1508.5 1.5D; 4800 kv / 6.7 gear ratio, 15x18 inch prop, on 6S 2700. Now that's asking for trouble and more of a 4s kind of set up normally, but it survived and peaked at 5500 watts using throttle delay and max brake. From this test, I see that the new pinion is very well worth it. I mention this in case you have the older style pinion, in which case you might want to use a soft brake.
