just to show mine


I done 3 independent antenna rods to get the best geometric for each element before soldering it.this is made from 0.8mm piano cord (rigid and elastic but you have to check if you can solder it easy before),this is for a 1080mhz system.

I use a wisp piece of copper(1.5cmx1.5cm) that I machined to have 3 legs at 120.

I drill the center of the copper piece to pass the center conductor(with his insulation) and get it the most closer to the ground like Alex suggest...

soldering:I use scotch to maintain the 3 rods on a plan(@120 each) with copper piece at the center and use 3 wedge (under each antenna element)to get the perfect 45 angle from the ground during soldering on copper piece.

the cable ground is soldering under the copper piece(do it quickly if you don't want to unsolder the 3 rods on the other side).

I may fix all with epoxy or maybe smother glue...
