my dive into rc motorcycling has trully begun
the sb5 arrived on monday.

i have fitted a futaba bls551 servo.
issues with the steering.

i had to mount the servo with no spacers under it.
it required a couple of mm to lift it to the recomended 17mm in the instruction manual.
but there is not enough clearance for the servo mount or the heads of the cap screws to pass the pivot of the lower suspension arm.
with the servo flush it has about 0.005"

with the servo mounted flush the steering damper/spring assemblies foul on the front pivot of the upper suspension arm.
so i have mounted the dampers above the servo horn.... this isnt ideal geometry but should still give a nice consistant action.

and finally
the damper assemblies actually rub on the inside of the upper suspension arm(both sides), i will be removing the mould line and maybe a little material to give it minimum clearance

cheers
