Hi Vasek,
Answers to your same questions on other groups remain unchanged.
The transmitter controls the number of channels that can be used, the module simply transmits/receives the data stream.

"The Aurora is restricted to "9 channel" but the module does not control any channels.
Spectra Pro 2.4Ghz is compatible with other Module Type Transmitters that use the same Futaba/Hitec module shape/size/pin slots. e.g.:
5UAF, 5UAP, 7UAF,7UAFS, 7UAP,7UAPS, 7UHF,7UHFS, 7UHP,7UHPS
8UAF, 8UAFS, 8UAP, 8UAPS, 8UHF,8UHFS,8UHP, 8UHPS
(8FGA, 8FGH as non-module radios can not be accomodated).
9CA, 9CH, 9CAPS, 9CAFS, 9CHPS, 9CHFS
10CH, 10CA (10CAG or 10CHG as non-module radios can not be accomodated). "

"As shown with the examples given previously, RF modules do not differentiate between a 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or a 10 channel plus Transmitter. The channels being operated are controlled by the TX not the module.
Spectra Pro Manual quote:
"5. Compatible Transmitters
- The Spectra 2.4GHz module and antenna can be used with the following Hitec transmitt
Eclipse 7, Optic 6, Aurora 9 and all future Hitec module-type transmitters.
- In all cases, any transmitter using the Spectra 2.4GHz module will be compatible only with Hitec AFHSS 2.4GHz series receivers."

This notwithstanding that in due course a higher end Hitec transmitter and receiver may require an amended module to cope with any new/extra as yet unknown features."
Spectra 2.4J Module - Telemetry Module for JR Transmitters. NB: 3 different types = Universal, Japan & France - update Nov10.
