In all the cases where I've shot video with the camera inverted, then inverted the ENTIRE video for editing and playback, the date stamp gets moved as we know. But we were then looking from a different frame of reference... not from the perspective of the CAMERA. I had never really played a video with the date stamp (I always clipped it) showing with the camera BOTH upright and inverted in the same clip.

I do the same as you, never really watched one roll over like that before.
FWIW - Regarding the camera ID in the video file, (none for the HD 808), I find that if I edit a clip with Kodak/Arcsoft editor and save at less or equal than 720p, it tags the file as being from a Zx1 camera, even if the original was from the Casio Exilim or ZxD. Then if I save in higher resolution, it is tagged as a Kodak Zx3 which is a 1028p Kodak
I suppose that with know-how someone could theoretically erase or modify the cam ID at will.
Still doesn't explain the date difference.
Also, I asked the seller for a price without charger, and was quoted $36 heheh.
