It might come as quite a shock to some that I have picked a model that has not been drawn by Chris Foss but you can have too much of a good thing. I've wanted to build one of these for decades (why exactly, I don't know!).
What's a 'Veron Vortex' then?
Well, it's a 100" span glider advertised for 'Thermal soaring, hillside and task soaring' that features a fibreglass fuselage and built up wings and tail surfaces.
A kit cost about £40 in the late 1970s when it was released (could have been earlier).
Designed by Phil Smith who died earlier this year.
Will post some photos of the kit contents in a bit when the camera batteries have charged but here's an original advert for the beast.
