Okay, well maybe you can get wire at a local school? In most schools these resistance wires are used in physics experiments(measuring resistance of a wire blabla). This is how I got a few meters in several thicknesses.

Another option would be that you would look for some depron? This is often used as a dampoing material under wooden floors, is is also used in painting businesses. Further, in Paint/hobby shops one can often buy large plates of "Foamboard?" I believe it was called like that. It is similar to depron, but it is sandwiched between two layers of thin cardboard. It is light and very stiff, ideal for simple WIG models.

I'll be going on a 2 weeks vacation tomorrow, so I'll probably be less active in the forum
