I'd bet the motor is fine, and the ESC went bad. Any way to try another motor? It doesn't have to be mounted, or even have a prop on it. Motors generally take getting wet a lot better than ESCs or receivers. We used to break-in our brushed motors under water, with a little dishwashing detergent added to the water. You may want to lubricate the motor after a dunking though.

It's possible it may come back to life after drying out thoroughly.

Had my Seawind on the water a few days ago, and had glitching, so the takeoff was aborted. Turned out to be a bad rx. Funny, I had it encapsulated in silicone, but it went bad anyway.
