The 10c programing should be similar to the 9c, the throttle(ch3) can be moved to any switch(usually switch F(trainer switch) the option to do that is in the switch assignments, while still retaining flap/butterfly on the left stick. Butterfly does not utilize ch3, but merely uses the stick when butterfly is enabled.

Most ESC's still draw close to the same amperage at part throttle as at full throttle, the extra amps are merely turned to heat in the ESC vrs actually turning the motor, efficiency really drops off at part throttle.
