Xeno wallowing on the slope
Just posted a video of my stock glider Xeno (4AA NiCd cells) on a slope in less-than-perfect conditions.
Sorry for the mobile phone resolution, one can however still get a good impression what the Xeno will do under conditions one might find not too far from home.
Wallowing is induced either by turbulent wind or by pilot input especially when navigating a rather small space.
It flies best fast with a strong steady wind, but these conditions aren't always easy to come by (for me) so I ordered a Weasel Evo from dreamflight for the smaller slopes. I still believe that the Xeno will be an excellent plane for taking on a hike in the mountains where its size is a big plus when one wants to fly in a bigger space, and the good aerodynamics and considerable weight (even without ballast) make it capable of going quick - then it will also track. The foldable desigh for easier transport in a backpack was the main reason I bought it.
