14 gram camera setup

Another project wrapped up. We've got a 3.5gram B&W camera I got almost by mistake. I was looking on EBay for cheap 5v spy cameras for my Flytron Tx. I found this one on Ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I put a offer in and was accepted, later realizing it was only B&W. Camera arrived in a few days and much to my surprise, just removing the connectors, got it down to 3.5 grams. Unfortunately it will not work on less than 6v.

I used a LVBoost from Dimension Engineering, http://www.dimensionengineering.com/lvboost.htm

and removed the heavy potentiometer from the back and now with a sgl cell lipo I get 6.2v.

Made up a quick harness for everything and fired it up and all works well. With a 90ma lipo, I'm at 14.3grams complete.

Wanting to show the quality of the camera, I than ran a/v cable from the goggles to my SanDisk recorder and recorded. It even worked.

With the Flytron on my slowstick I got close to 1/2 mile range with the goggles. Now its time for the front yard fpv flier.
