Going on with the IMU/RTH things, how hard would it be to just take the input from a sensor like this one (which is not an IMU, but the IMU seems difficult to implement for now, while this one seems quite easy):

and integrate the control with the DOSD's autopilot?
It means also that it should to provide stabilization when not in autopilot mode to make complete sense (i don't know if the DOSD has enough power to do that at all time ?)
