Turns out you're right. I tested both the Mustang and 4site motor at Aeromicro with Perry, and we got identical Kv and thrust measurements. There are two differences in the motors: the position of the pinion is slightly different and the 4site wires are longer. But anyone wanting to use the 4site stuff on the Dynex will be fine.
The Sukhoi motor is lower Kv and does use a larger prop. Same gear ratio as the other two though.
For those who ordered recently: mine arrived a couple of days ago and I'm slowly starting the build. It was a little over a week from order to delivery; they're just a bit behind right now.
Another clubbie got one and I've flown it. Much more neutral than the 4site. Handles fine "right out of the box" with no issues or even mixing required. Floats and tracks better, handles all inputs without any weirdness.
I wonder how much weight is lost by milling the depron?
