Based on the Tower dimensions, the Heritage piston has about 1.8x the area of the VI piston.
The $40 difference in kit price covers the boiler construction costs and the larger, more brass, engine I expect.
I wonder how much difference the 3/32 in piston diameter makes in running? It would be interesting if some one had both engines and ran them in the same hull off the same boiler. I think the only difference in boilers is the Heritage comes Pre-Assembled with a safety valve. Is the Heritage soft or hard soldered ?
