Just tried the audio cable with SmartPropoplus method and it works perfectly.
Many thanks Alan.
If anyone is interested you can get details here:
This method does not need a special USB cable, simply plug a 3.5mm audio cable between the Aurora 9 trainer socket and the PC-LINE In socket.
Set up the SmartProoPlus console for generic PPM, auto detect shift polarity, select the appropiate audio source (line-in) adjust the audio levels down to minimum levels under advanced and in your PC's audio settings pannel.
If using a stereo cable then make sure you slide balance to left channel.
Start the simulator and follow the calibrate the sequence for your simulator.
When starting the A9, make sure the trainer cable is plugger in first, then select Multi-IO optio at startup screen then select T.Pupil mode.
(thats the bit that stumped me for a while)
I'm using it with a simulator called Clearview, no problems at all, works a treat.
