I've finished building my LoRyder (pics below) using a ExceedRC Alpha 400 740KV motor ($12.70) and have flown it with the wattmeter running to get some numbers on the motor. I ran with a 3S 1300Mah spinning an APC 11x4.7 prop. The wattmeter reported 10.3 Amps (peak) and 117.5 Watts (peak). The motor performed very well with very little vibration for what it cost me. AUW ranges from 26-30oz depending on the camera and battery I use. I have a AXI 2212/34 silver that I would also like to try on this plane.

This is the first build I have tried from many of Mike's designs and I found that it went together quite easily and the build process outlined in this thread is great. Thanks Mike!

I have a short video of the flight although it was a bit windy for shooting video and so it is a bit of a bumpy ride. Excuse the dust on the lens as I didn't notice it until later. I have to make that part of my pre-flight check.
