I bought the bare airframe and did not modify it much. the bare airframe weighs approx 5 ounces. I did use blue fan fold foam for the fins and elevons that were then covered in black microlite film. I used thin cardboard that was colored with a black sharpie and covered in clear tape for the battery covering and is secured with velcro. My total body with fins and battery hatch weighed approx 6.5 ounces. The paint is a very light coat and weighed .2 ounces. The motor mount weighed 4 grams. The stock fins and elevons, motor mount and hatch covers weigh approx 5 ounces for a total frame weight of 10-11 ounces so I saved approx 4 ounces on the complete frame. I also use a 24 gram motor, 9 ounce servos, and an under 2 ounce battery. I also get unlimited vertical with a fresh battery and a top speed of around 40 mph for this one. Here is another similar one I made with lights for night flying. The lights added a little over an ounce.
