You're not wearing those LMAs in your ears are you... (pierced ears ) Okay, bad joke, just that I see so many people wearing strange earings at this time of the year.

On a more serious/legitimate note, I'm finding that there's a bit of a variance between some of the buzzers, from the same batch (I buy them in bricks of 500 now), if the frequency moves +/-5% from the peak resonance it can seem quieter, though the dB rating still seems quite close. There's the other problem of how our own ears perceive the loudness across a frequency spread. A third factor, and one which makes a BIG difference is the chamber in which the buzzer/LMA is installed. I've found just cupping my hand around the buzzer can significantly raise the perceived output level to pain levels :wince: .

btw Oldpilot, didn't realise you were hard of hearing... nice to see I'm not the only one.
