The only reason a R/E plane is able to turn is because the dihedral of the wings causes the plane to bank to stop the plane from slipping through the air. It is still the bank that gets the plane through a turn.

Theoretically, I would think a plane with no ailerons and no dihedral would never turn, but just slip through the air. Wouldn't that be a peculiar site.
