Omni / patch configuration means you are useing diversity.
I use this to position my antennas whether they be omni, patch or yagi.
The centre of a yagi is the collector or right where the cable goes into it.
The height of the patch determines how far and low you can go.
For really long distance low flying it would be up high and close to vertical.
Use a tape measure and postion the omni at a different height but at the calculated distance.
Depending on the video tx you are useing.
