The information provided in that review is inaccurate.

We have always had the dipole on the transmitter with the shipped release.
It has always had frequency diversity (yes, videos were posted to prove this).
It still has the patented spherical antenna technology.
Satellite receivers are a way to make extra money.

The biggest improvement made to the system was the addition of a low voltage warning (started with v2.4). 8 out of 10 customers who upgraded their firmware reported the low voltage warning with the systems they were flying prior to upgrading! That is scary!
