GOT IT OFF!
Soaked it (not with the plastic pinion on) in some of my wife's purple nail polish remover ....
Now to violate the other shaft ...
Blow by Blow follows:
okay - getting a new pinion off is really easy - just tap it on a table a few times and try to pull it off, repeat. took me only 2 attempts!
into the nail polish remover #2 goes ...
...
SECOND SHAFT IS APART - this bearing wasn't even glued !!!
...
TWO NAKED SHAFTS!!
...
Thanks Kamov (again). See the first "real" double bearing driveshaft
(testing to follow...)
...
The bearings press-fit really tight on the shaft. I'm going to try not CA'ing them (in case adjustments are needed) and just CA the pinion on for now.
...
CA is drying/setting - I'll give it another 20 minutes or so. The alleged Hirobo one shows a rubber boot to secure the fit around the 2nd bearing in the tail pipe. I may have to improvise with some electrical tape or something. If this works, then for the cost of two new drive shafts (about $20) and some nail polish remover we could have a solution that is available NOW ...
For now I'll center the 2nd bearing on the shaft ...
Kamov - you are just full of great ideas - keep 'em comin'!!
Initial Testing
Smooth.As.Silk ! I ended up not putting anything on the 2nd bearing bootwise - it's a very close fit to the I.D of the tail pipe. Last night this thing was BRRRT-ing all over the place - it's gone now and rev-ving the tail is incredibly smooth. Must fly some more but initial results look very promising !!!

Sorry -the audio in the quick video doesn't convey the sweet sound so I'll say with words that it really sounds clean.
Why didn't we do this sooner?
