Hi Andy,

Barry over at Kennedy told me the spoiler was split to keep the elevator and rudder in clean air for better control while deployed. Less mixing too.

I'm thinking theres possibly a third benefit.

My understanding is that the one large spoiler on the standard version is so effective at killing lift, most people don't deploy it more than 30 ish degrees.
What if the smaller spoilers could be opened closer to 90 degrees? Might that create more drag helping slow the plane down while not dumping too much lift?
