Simple Prop Saver for 1mm shaft

Had trouble finding a way of mounting a prop with a 1mm hole on a 1mm shaft (without permanently gluing it). Props with a 1.5mm hole can be press fitted using the insulation stripped from the right size of electrical wire but if the shaft is the same size as the hole but not a good interference fit it's harder. Turns out BSD Micro supply such a prop saver but in the meantime I found a solution. The "butterfly" holder off a pierced-ear earing. About 20c each from the jewelery/bead/pharmacy/drug store. Free from your helpful wife/partner/lover. See attached picture. As they come they are a perfect fit for a 1mm pin, and you can drill them out to 1.5mm as well. The grip is surprisingly strong as they have a little hollow where they grip the shaft. If you are worried about slippage a drop of cyano will fix it.

Apologies if this has been posted already but I couldn't find it.
