Dicey? Maybe it was but not now. By widening the aft fuselage support and also adding a pair of greased brass washers to act as bearings under load and lubricating the tailwheel vertical shaft it track very true. If I were to build another it would have a longer under-fuselage section back to the tailwheel to increase the wheelbase which would increase tracking stability.

If it really was a problem I would have just put a spare GWS rx on the dolly to control steering. Doesn't need it though unless you want to taxi around.
