=== HXT Versus TowerPro servos ===

'Tis only a rumor, I'm afraid. The issue is whether you get the "Domestic" or the "Export" version ("Export" is suppose to be the better version). HXT and TowerPro are just different distributor labels for the same device. One person even received an HXT900 servo with a TowerPro sticker inside the case!

You can see the reference about the "real" export quality versus the domestic versions that get piped through ebay:

Notice that both HXT and TowerPro have nearly the same caution. Probably not a coincidence.

I love the servos, but there is ALWAYS a risk, because it seems they occasionally change the guts as time passes without changing the label.
example for HXT: http://www.rcmodelreviews.com/hxt9320mg_warning.shtml
Improving the design or cutting costs? I'd rather not guess. I have a quite a few of both HXT and TowerPro, and so far have not had a failure (knock knock KNOCK on wood!). But, I always made sure they were the export versions ( I like to order from LightFlightRC. Easy returns if something goes bad).

By the way, the homepages for HXT and TowerPro are a mess. Honestly, why did they bother?

=== Swift II ===
Man, I need to get back into the wings game. Not much to add. One thing I like about the Ritewings is that they understand that they need to cut the prop area straight across so that there is clearance from the foam to the blade tips. The Swift II needs to be cut more, otherwise there is an awful lot of interference where the prop-tips nearly meet the foam (noise, reduced efficiency, etc).

Nothing else I can add to an already good show. Maaaaaaan...we have to wait until the Toledo show for the HigherPlanesProduction membership?

Great show, guys!
